Domaine de la Grausse is a 17 acre estate, and the chateau has been fully restored and modernised. It lies in a small tranquil valley surrounded by wooded hills, wild-flower meadows, green pastures and bordered by a bubbling tree-shaded brook.Nestling in a green and tranquil valley in the beautiful foothills of the snow-capped mountains of the South of France, situated in wooded hills and wild-flower meadows around a small lake.Dagmar is resident yoga teacher. She qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga in 1981, and has taught for more than 25 years with Adult Education classes, sports centres and private classes.She and her husband Mike, have been running yoga holidays at their yoga retreat centre for 7 years.

  • Dagmar studied Iyengar for 3 years, and also Viniyoga, Sivananda and the Desikachar method. In her classes she combines elements of each, and adapts them as she finds suitable for the ability and needs of her students.
  • Each day you are invited to discover or regain healthy energy through guided yoga, aimed at developing the potential of the student.Morning classes are from 9:30 to 10:30 am and evening classes from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. These classes are suitable for all levels, from experts to beginners. Dagmar combines all aspects of yoga from gentle to challenging.
  • To help you unwind and de-stress, Dagmar also offers guided meditation on Monday and Thursday evening from 9:30 to 10:00 pm. This can be an ideal introduction for beginners or a different approach for the adept.
  • A relaxing massage combining elements of Swedish, Shiatsu (Pressure Points) and Asian techniques to achieve full body balance. The natural healing powers of essential oils penetrate the skin and enhance both physical and mental well-being.
  • Traditional relaxation massage incorporating long, smooth strokes to major muscle groups to promote relaxation, improve circulation of the life-energy and create an overall sense of well-being. The energy circuit is opened and the energy can flow again.

Getting To Domaine de la Grausse

Domaine de la Grausse is in the village of Clermont La Grausse, in the French department of the Ariege, located in the heart of the Pyrenees, bordering Spain and Andorra.

By Air

There are frequent low cost flights from most UK main and regional airports to the south-west of France. The nearest and most convenient airports are, in order: Toulouse, Carcassone, Perpignan, Pau, Bergerac.

By Train

  • Depart St. Pancreas on the Eurostar at 08:35 Saturday morning.
    Arrive 11:27 at Lille Europe, and walk 500 meters to the Lille Flanders station.
    Depart 12:38 on the TGV for Toulouse, arriving 20:12.
    Change platforms for the 21:22 to Foix, arriving 23:00
  • Alternatively, depart St. Pancreas on the Eurostar at 09:26 Saturday morning.
    Arrive 12:47 at Paris Gare du Nord. Take the metro/taxi to Montparnasse.
    Depart 14:10 on the TGV for Toulouse, arriving 19:26.
