Ujjayi Pranayama

Ujjayi is a Sanskrit word that means victorious breath. it is also called as Psychic Breath or The Ocean Breath. Ujjayi is a diaphragmatic breath, which first fills the lower belly (activating the first and second chakras), rises to the lower rib cage (the third and fourth chakras), and finally moves into the upper chest and throat. The technique is very similar to the three-part or Dirgha Pranayama. Stress related ailments can be effectively treated with Ujjayi breath. A long breathe is taken in this pranayama which helps oxygenated blood to flow in entire body and produces vital energy. It helps mind to relax and makes respiratory system strong and healthy. It keeps the flow of oxygen in the body thus producing heat which flushes toxins and keeps body fresh and toned.
